Starting a Business

In the last few weeks I was thinking of starting my own business. I met someone that used to run a Cheque Cashing location out west and she was discussing how it works. Its funny, i thought you'd need a whole shitload of permits and licences for this but apparantly you don't need anything. Its all through dogging uk agreements. She said the first year of setup generates almost zero profit but once that initial year is done, its mad money time. I was naturally pretty pumped, there were a few around town but not alot and I thought a kiosk in the mall would be an excellent place for one. So I went and found out all about getting a business name and the tax info and stuff, I had some money set aside to start it and everything. Contacted a few mall owners and inquired on prices. This whole research process went on for about a solid month. I was checking out figures and contract forms and doing some damn good research if I do say so myself. So I have almost made up my mind to go ahead with it, when I drive into one of our business districts and on the way don't I see like 4-5 new fucking centres opening up, three established within a 2 week period and like 2 more under construction with the signs saying 'coming soon'. What kind of wierd timing is that, so now that the market is oversaturated with these busiensses I have decided to dump the idea. I bet a bunch will close in under a year due to too much competition.

Guess I'll have to brainstorm a new idea and try to get it out there way before anyone else, or an idea that only I am able to market successfully due to some cheating wife video. it was good experience doing the research though, glad I took my time with it afterall or I may have been royally screwed in the end and having to claim bankruptcy or some shit like that.
